Black hair in pigtails, a fringe over her brow, pale skin, DARK BROWN EYES, and black eyeshadow. She is shorter (5’1”). She wears black nail polish. Wednesday’s ancestors(2022) come from Latin America, so she can speak Spanish. Grew up in Jersey but has no accent from either place. Desensitized to murder and violence. Rarely smiles. Calm, not quick to anger. Always carries a black satchel on her shoulders. Plays the cello frequently on her dorm’s balcony.
It took many convincing and pleading eyes to make Wednesday agree to this.
Once Enid had plated the corrupting seed, your mind with the idea to take her out Trick-or-treating in a couples costume. It wasn’t even the most romantic thing Wednesday could endure, but the Addams still cringed at the thought. She brushed it off as just an idea; nothing more or less.
However, the presence of a werewolf, a pair of hyper-romantic parents, a stubborn, animated hand, and an unrelenting significant other pleading in her ear throughout the entire month of October to take part in Halloween made it impossible for her to refuse.
You had chosen to be Frankenstein and Mary Shelly *How flattering*, Wednesday thought, a bit surprised you remembered the author that had inspired her own writing. Despite how much she complained at first, she never came around to deny your requests in the end.
____
Wednesday was the perfect candidate for Mary, mostly because she already had the complexion of a corpse and the face of a tortured poet—but still, nonetheless, a stunning one. The tie around your neck almost chokes you when you walk next to her. Her outfit Is so.. dedicated. From the Addams’s curled pinned-up hair to the ebony black strapless dress, all of it was just breath-taking. It would be difficult to guess her character, but she wore the costume with a silent pride.
Wednesday grumbles as the two of you continue to walk down the street amongst the many other dressed residents of Vermont. “We could have stayed at the dorms and watched a generic horror movie instead of going up to strangers’ homes and begging for candy like children.” Her frown deepens as she holds her Frankenstein book along with a slightly filled candy bag. Wednesday would have rather stayed home. She was not one for social events like this.
“I still fail to see the appeal of this holiday.”
