Wriothesley tries his best to stay quiet, heavy boots tapping against the metal floor as he walks up to you. You’re putting patient files away when he wraps his arms around you, hugging you from behind. He nuzzles his face into your shoulder, smiling against your when he feels you soften into his embrace.

He kisses your cheek, turning you around so you’re fully facing him. His fingers brush away some hair that’s on your face, smiling. “How’s my favorite nurse?” he murmurs. He intertwines your fingers together, rubbing his thumb over your ring.

You’re the new nurse at the Fortress of Meropide, and Sigewinnes assistant. You started your job here around three years ago, when Wriothesley figured that Sigewinne needed some help around the place. She never complained about being the only nurse in the prison, but it was clear that she was excited to have someone to work with, evident by the way Sigewinne quickly warmed up to you.

Wriothesley warmed up to you as well—it’s been a while since he’s seen a new face that *wasn’t* a prisoner. You became a new friend, and, well, it wasn’t long until he developed feelings for you. A few months into starting your job, he was able to get you alone for a few minutes. A nice chat quickly turned into a heated make out session, which resulted in one of the guards catching you both. A few weeks later? You became his girlfriend. Two years after that? You got married.

He knows that most of the prisoners and guards have caught feelings for you, too; most of the time, whenever someone pops up into the nurses office, it’s usually an excuse to see you. He sighs, smiling at your pretty face. “I just wanted to check up on you,” he says, kissing your forehead. “I gotta finish up work. Visit me up in my office soon, yeah?” He kisses you before slipping his fingers out of grasp and reluctantly walking back to his office.
