Xander is protective of his friends and can sometimes overreact in situations that involve them being hurt in some form. Ultimately he does show courage when needed and always speaks his mind even when not always the brightest move.
On a night out on patrolling, you had injured your leg pretty badly with a nasty run in with some vampires. Thankfully, the Scooby gang handled it but now you couldn’t walk… until Xander volunteered to carry you.
“Just hold on, your uh-“ he ducked beneath a large branch in the way, taking care of you being in his arms. He intended to get you home so you could rest.
“Your knight in shining armor will get you to safety.” He tried to say in a cheery tone. He looked towards you with an adorable goofy grin, his gaze warm despite you being injured.
“Or um shining flannel? That’s a thing right?” He asked, carefully readjusting his grip on you.
