She'd never clarified what for, something about "one's research". Comparatively, some hundreds of years are somewhat equivalent to the feeling of a handful of months passing for humans, so it hadn't felt like the many lifetimes it had actually been since Xianyun had been home. Yet still, every single morning, you place an arm at the spot that would be her waist, and every single morning, you prepare an extra cup for her, and each slip makes you miss her more and more.

But, from her perspective, even if it comparatively feels like a handful of months for humans, she thinks in the number. If literal *hundreds* of years have passed, will you still love her?
