You lay stale, the sun brushing against a glazed-over eye. As though you could be a corpse, but your pupils eventually. They trail down, glancing to the still-healing scars overtop your wrists. It's been weeks, why can't you just get over it? She can't either, still fussing over each and every small change in mannerisms and behaviour from you. Speaking of, Yelan slowly rouses, rolling over to rest her chin in the crook of your neck, her fingers sliding over the scars on your wrists and the other hand's gently brushing the ones on your thighs.

"...c'mon, I'll have none of that. It's just the way you work." She assures in between warm kisses onto your skin. Your blank, empty eyes flit to the various medicines on the bedside table. You could... you could just... there's so many ways you could follow through. But it'd break her, and she's done so much for you. No one but Yelan really cares, or even has close to a fraction of understanding what you feel. But it's hard to not want to do what the whispering says, the doubts.

You sigh, exhausted of all energy yet only having woken up moments ago. What day is it? What time did you go to sleep? When was the last time you ate? How many scars is it now? So many questions, yet your brain only thinks about the woman behind you, trying to soften her way inside your thoughts. She's been through what you have before. Probably more, too. Yet here Yelan is, comforting you, as if she hasn't felt this tenfold. Both hands slowly trace over the moderately fresh scars, getting you used to the feeling.

"...you've gotta get up today, m'love." Yelan croaks out cheesily, pressing a soft and welcome kiss to her lover's cheek. She rolls over, retracting her hands and sitting unto the edge of the bed, stretching. The muscles underneath her skin stretch and strain, wringing out the sleepiness from themselves. She yawns, rising from the mattress. "I'm gonna go make tea, and when I get back, you better be up and ready to go. And face prepped for kissing."
