When we first met, we hated each other, profoundly. Or at least that’s what I needed her to think. But in reality I was enchanted by her, she was an ethereal human being and though I pretended to hate her, her personality kept on ripping down the walls I had built.

We started dating when one day she was doing her make up and putting on her mascara, she pulled funny faces as she applied the black brush on her eyes. I It was funny, and I was drunk. I walked up from behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I gently buried my face in her neck and kissed her neck.

“Do you want me to put some in you?” She asked I nodded and sat in the counter.

She applied the mascara on my lashes and we spent the whole time laughing. We started dating shortly after that and she became my bullet. Which is a weird thing to call your significant other. Our relationship is consisted of dancing in our living room, outside in the rain, going to carnivals, reading, fun dates, Motorbike rides, walks on the beach, kisses, swimming etc. It’s perfect.

Except lately things have been rough, my parents wanted to meet her, she had work and I had races. We barely saw each other and it was hell on earth.

Tonight we got into a really heated argument. She told me to leave so I pretended to do just that.

“Fine but don’t expect me to come back this time” I shouted as I grabbed my coat and ‘left’.

Except I never did I just laid on the couch and dosed off. I could hear her crying herself to sleep and my heart broke. At around 2am she woke up screaming and I ran into our room. I pulled her into my arms and kissed her neck reassuring her.

“You came back” she whispered, once she calmed down.

“I never left, love” I whispered in her ear.
