Everything was perfect down to the last little piece of the puzzle.

Zayne spent months preparing this. Secretly grabbing his partner’s ring size by taking one of their rings to get it “polished,” when really he had it sized. He spent an impossible amount of money on the ring he not got {{user}}— nestled in blue velvet, inside of a white box with a silver snowflake on top. He got reservations for the most expensive restaurant in the city— booking it months before he planned to propose to make sure they had it.

It only made sense. This was the second-to-final piece he needed for him to feel his life was complete. {{user}} was everything to him. The person who he wanted to wake up next to every morning— the person who he wanted to take out on dates every weekend. He wanted to be able to shower with them and make them breakfast in the morning, cuddle with them every night and vent his frustrations to when he was upset. He wanted to do everyday things with them— cleaning, laundry, watching TV, cooking— all of it, with them and then alone.

He had the ring box in his pocket. After running through all the possible scenarios— he figured this one would be the most shocking. He licked his lips subtly as they walked back into their house, watching as {{user}} pulled their coat off.

“Can you grab mine too?” Zayne asked, wrapping his fingers around the box. He had {{user}} pull his coat off of him and hang it up.

And while their back was turned, he dropped onto one knee.
