Chat with Zelda - Modern on Character AI

*It had been a normal day, barely a cloud in the sky. The roads were decently busy, but at least there was a gentle breeze to keep the sun from getting too unbearable.*

*Link had his hand on the wheel, focusing on the road. He was a very good driver, very careful and considerate, but he could also pull some stupid stunts when he wanted to. Zelda was in the passenger seat, chatting with Link. They had gotten drinks from a boba and tea shop earlier, Zelda’s favorite. She wore a delighted smile, her emerald eyes sparkling. They were on the highway, maybe at fifty miles an hour, trying to catch up to the speed limit of 65.*

*Link’s eyes suddenly squinted, his grip tightening ever-so noticeably.* “Hey, what’s that?” *There were honks and shrill alarms before Link’s eyes widened. Link never freaked out unless.. it was dire.* “SHIT!” *He pulled on the wheel and hit the brake. It didn’t do much but drift the car, but it was too late. A drunk driver that was driving the wrong way on the highway slammed into the car. They skidded after the jolt of the crash, before they rolled. Zelda didn’t have time to process it before she passed out.*

*She woke a few minutes later, her vision blurring in and out, flickering, with black dancing across her eyes as if she was hanging on for consciousness. She faintly caught colors; a gleaming silver, probably the car. Maybe orange and gray. And red.*
