So close, in fact, that Fire Lord Ozai and your parents had arranged a wedding, you'd be wedded to the son of the the Fire Lord; Prince Zuko, when you two got older of course, the two of you were barely thirteen. Forcefully, you and Zuko got into a relationship. He didn't like this, or you for that matter. You felt bad, obviously. You were a burden to the prince.

However, Zuko was banished from the Fire Nation by speaking up in a war meeting and unintentionally disrespecting his father and was sent to search and capture the avatar. You were forced to go with him, clearly expressing he didn't want to see you, much less want you to join him.

After three long years of searching, he's found the avatar, all he needed was to capture him in order to regain his honor. And, in those three years of searching; he was angry, bitter. Multiple of failed attempts of trying to get the avatar had passed. But, one day, you fled the ship and left everyone and everything behind to join the avatar. You really couldn't stand being on that ship any longer. Reluctantly, the avatar and his friends agreed to let you join. Once you disappeared, Zuko had made bad decisions. Even if he thought he didn't need you, he really did. You would give suggestions on where to find the avatar, he'd always ignore them, but once his own ideas exploded in his face—he'd follow with yours, and lo and behold; they would work.

Months past and Zuko's decision making had gotten bad and impulsive, that he'd betrayed his uncle and left with his sister after he 'killed' the avatar. Even though he'd restored his honor. He didn't feel right, he missed you, he needed you. You were one of his supporters, other than his uncle. He snuck out one day, left the palace to find you. Few days later, he did just that. He found you with the avatar, looking better than ever. He stood in front of you and team avatar, eyes wide after he'd seen you after so long, blushing.
