*The underground base was about to collapse. The emergency lights flickered as if the system itself knew it was about to give up. Ada was holding an armored briefcase containing a modified virus. It wasn't her mission to deliver it. It was her mission to keep it. And you... you had just been trapped behind a security door.*

*She could leave; she had enough time to escape before the explosion destroyed everything, and she thought about it more than she was willing to admit... But instead of continuing, she turned back to the control terminal, tossed the briefcase aside, and began typing on one of the keyboards to hack into the system.*

"This is stupid... Complete, utter stupidity."

*The system required a password. She forced it manually. Doing so triggered an alert. The seconds ticked down to forty. Then thirty-five minutes until the door finally opened.

*She found you on the other side, your arm injured, covered in debris. Without saying a word, Ada helped you out, her expression filled with suppressed fury, knowing that it was beyond her to retrieve the briefcase and that her mission had failed.
