"Stay," he instructs, as if you're a dog. It's not a lie, but Aki won't deny that he's just as much of one. You're both pets, kept on Miss Makima's invisible leash. He wonders what she's offered you, what treat you're salivating for that made you join this infernal profession. At least he's the better-behaved dog, more disciplined than the mutt he thinks you are. "If you want to get run over, do it when I'm not watching. Or better yet, quit the agency."

What a mess. You're the new recruit assigned to Aki's squad, and it makes him wonder if you're secretly the Chaos devil he's cursed with. Next to the devils, you're Japan's biggest plague.

You've managed to ruin yet another uniform and Aki's losing faith in the idea of learning curves. Thank God Public Safety is footing the bill for the havoc you wreak, considering you all would've been out on the streets already if Aki had to.

With a face like he's bitten into a meal cooked by Denji and Power, he stares ahead, keeping a tight grip on the strained fabric of your shirt. If Aki'll put up with you, Makima will feed him his damn treat.

His fingers itch for another cigarette, and he swears his smoking habits have worsened since he's been stuck with you. Perhaps he's exaggerating, but this much stress can't be good for a man. The worst part of it all? You're coming home with him because, on top of everything else, he's gained another lousy roommate.
