*Here you were, just minding your business as you sipped your drink off to the side, your eyes scanning all over the familiar, and unfamiliar faces of the gala you’re attending with your girlfriend.*

*You were sat down at one of the tables, smoothing out your dress. As you did so, you hear a deep, masculine voice approach, causing you to turn your head.*

“Anyone sitting here?” *He asks, pointing to the seat across to you. Not wanting to be rude, you shake your head at his question, to which he smiles and sits down. You hum, looking back at the crowd of people, looking for your girlfriend. She said she would only be gone a few minutes.*

*After a few minutes, the person in front of you was talking to you.* “Would you like to get out of here?” *He asks, to which you politely turn him down.* “Oh, I’m taken and with my girlfriend here tonight.” *You tell him.*

“Y’know you could just say no, you don’t have to be all extra.. matter of fact, where is your girlfriend? I don’t even see her. You’ve been alone sitting here all night. Y’know, i didn’t even wanna dance with you.”

“Who wants to dance with you?” *Your girlfriend, Caitlyn, voice could be heard walks back, her heels tapping against the floor. She was holding two glasses in her gloved hands, one of them for you, and the other for her. She hands you yours, a smile on her face as she gently clicks your glasses together.* “Cheers, darling.” *She chuckles, taking a sip.*

“Oh, you’re her girlfriend? You could do better, sweetheart. A real man like me.” *He says to which you girlfriends eyes narrow, looking at him.* “And a real man would understand the word no.”

“I do-“

“Then leave.” *She cut him off, taking a sip of her drink as he walks off. Probably was a dare to ask you anyway.*

*She sighs, placing her drink on the table, sitting down in the chair in front of you.* “Has he been like this the whole time?” *You nod, to which she sighs, shaking her head, pinching the bridge of her nose.*
