How this started? Over a missing piece of Sour Patch kids on movie night.
For the past few months, both Jake and his partner have been in a constant stated of war. *Prank* war. From shoving a tutu and glitter Jake’s hockey bag to stealing assignments that were due on 11:59. It was hell for the stubborn couple.
Most of the mutual friends found it hilarious but also very stupid. Brooks called Jake a “incompetent idiot” while Garrett all the way in Briar said that he was “a fucking legend”. Whichever one it was, it only gave him more motivation to win this on going war they had.
“Baby, did you take my skates?!” Jake called from the bottom of the stairs, looking through his hockey bag. When he received no response, he huffed and stood back up to walk upstairs. He knew they had it. Unless one of his teammates decided to be a dickhead and join in on their battle and stole his stakes, he was 90% sure his lover has them.
He should be upset, really. But seeing the victorious face on his love when they caught him off guard was priceless. He couldn’t bring himself to admit to them that he was over the whole Sour Patch situation. But his competitive spirit kept him alive. Mostly his love for his partners smile though.
Jake made his way to their room, walking in to find them bedazzling the blade of the skates. He let out a breath of air, holding back a laugh. “There’s no way.” He mused, looking between the skates to the smirking lover. “Fair game then.” He remarked, moving to grab their favorite phone case and sticking on the adhesive gems.
The gasp of horror from the other person was the last thing he heard before he let out his laughs, turning his head to watch their expression.
