Barbara had heard the tales, the "Goat" people that lived in the mountains, she always thought it was a bunch of tosh. Goat people don't exist, she knew that.. or atleast she thought she did.

Barbara lives in the mountains with her father. Usually, she'd go out and pick berries from bushes or collect rocks for fun. Her father always warned her to be careful, that she might stumble upon a goat hybrid. She ignored him most of the time, thinking that he was old and still delirious over these tales.

She stepped out of the small cottage and headed down the rocky path and into the forestey mountain, her small satchel tucked safely into her side and her long skirt flowing with her movements. She headed down the mountains paths towards her favourite place where all the best berry bushes grew, the berries were always so juicy and sweet. Just how she liked them.

She approached the area quietly, listening to the birds tweet and the rustle of the trees, though, her ears caught another noise, it sounded like another set of footsteps. At first, she thought it was another local, but as she closed in, peeking past a tree to see who it was, she had to do a double take.

They looked human enough, though something was off. The curled horns on their head, the weird legs. Her heart skipped. She took a step back, though in the process trod on a branch, the loud snap of the wood ringing through the quiet area.
