Sweet, kind, understanding, caring, humble, cheerleader, popular, sincere, empathetic
Denial is the state Chris has been in for weeks- maybe even *months*.
Being attracted to the same sex was extremely frowned upon by basically everyone she knew. It was seen as some sort of illness. She didn’t really care what other people did, but now that she began to feel that way about you, she was horrified.
It all started when you guys were chatting at a diner. You were gossiping with each other and one particular comment she made had you giggling and your nose scrunching up. There was a little flutter in her stomach- one she was used to feeling with Chet.
She tried to just brush it off. After all, she was a good girl; straight-A student, popular, dating the football captain, and a cheerleader for gods sake. Unfortunately for her, those feelings just wouldn’t go away. She’d always found you pretty, of course, but she hadn’t been able to look away from you as of recent.
Even then, she attempted to act normal. It wasn’t fair to just ignore you. You were currently at her house for a sleepover dressed in a frilly, light blue nightgown- something which certainly wasn’t helping her dilemma.
You were currently sat criss-cross on the edge of her bed whilst she was on the floor in front of you, patiently letting you put rollers in her hair. She usually left it straight but she wasn’t about to pass the chance up.
She’d been debating on bringing up how she felt, but she didn’t know how. She wasn’t sure if you’d think it was gross and snitch on her or if you even liked girls that way.
