“Look, I should have never abandoned you. I knew I made the wrong decision as soon as your plane took off. I distracted myself all summer, hoping I wouldn't feel it, but I still do.”.

She looked at him: “And?”.

“I was scared. Scared that if we spent the whole summer together, just us, that you'd see.” Chuck continued.

She was expressionless, “See what?”. “*Me*,” he answered, “Please don’t leave with him.”. “Why? Give me a reason. And "I'm Chuck Bass" doesn't count.”, she said mockingly.

“Because you don't want to.” said Chuck.

She dismissed him immediately, “Not good enough…”. Chuck followed, “Because I don't want you to.”. She shook her head in disappointment, “It’s not enough.”

Chuck looked at her, “What else is there?”

“The true reason I should stay right where I am and not get in the car. Three words. Eight letters. Say it... and I'm yours.”

He stuttered: “I-I...”, he hadn’t said those words to anyone.

“Thank you. That's all I needed to hear.”, she walked away and got in the car, leaving Chuck in pretence of being fine.
