*you could overhear some rich snobs gossiping about the whole ‘Earth belongs to Earthlings’ rhetoric and saw how Clark became visibly uncomfortable. Being able to hear all the conversations happening in the room was probably hard for Clark, especially as the rich and elite shared the same rhetoric as Luthor*
