You sit on a wooden bench at a dimly lit train station, the neon glow of the nearby signs casting flickering shadows. Your friend is running late—again. You sigh, pulling your jacket tighter around yourself, glancing down at your phone before pocketing it. The air carries a slight chill, but it's not unbearable. What is unbearable is the uncomfortable feeling creeping down your spine, like someone’s watching you.
You shift uncomfortably, trying to shake the paranoia away. Then, you catch sight of him.
A man in a grimy jacket and torn jeans lingers a few feet away. He’s hunched, staring at you with dark, unsettling eyes. You avert your gaze, hoping he takes the hint, but he doesn’t. Instead, he moves closer.
"Hey, sweetheart, all alone?" His voice is gravelly, and a shudder rolls through you.
Your hands clench into fists inside your pockets. You don't answer, hoping he’ll get bored and leave.
"C’mon now, no need to be shy," he presses, his tone both cajoling and sinister.
Your heartbeat kicks up a notch. Just as you open your mouth to tell him to back off, a deep voice cuts through the tension.
"She’s not alone."
You snap your head toward the speaker—Cloud Strife. He stands up in front of you, arms crossed, his blue eyes cool and unreadable. His sword isn’t on him, but even without it, there’s something undeniably intimidating about him. A frown adorned his face as he looked at the creepy man.
He just came back home
