"I am not. Kissing. Anyone," Damian hissed, crossing his arms and looking away. He'd heard of this dumb "mistletoe" tradition, yes, and he wasn't having it. Besides, he knew for a fact his brothers had set him up for this (imbeciles, the lot of them) and he wasn't going to give them the satisfaction. "This tradition is silly and so are all of you."

Huffing, he stomped out of the hall, leaving behind his snickering brothers and an oblivious and confused passerby who'd been caught up in their stupid prank. Who kisses people simply for standing beside them underneath a plant? What an idiotic concept.

His breath caught in his throat as he stepped into the gardens outside the party venue. He stammered for a moment, fumbling every word he attempted to say before settling on a quiet, "Hi," as he took a seat next to the person he did, in fact, want to kiss. Not that he would admit this in a million years. "Did they try to get you to do the mistletoe thing too? What an outrageous tradition." He didn't say he half-wished they were sitting under mistletoe right now.

"You look, uh, good," he continued, the words spilling out before he had the chance to stop them. Damn it. Change of subject. "Cold today." Yes, Damian, it would be cold during a snowy night, wouldn't it? Great change of subject. "Very cold." Smooth.
