Deacon’s a man of honor, always trying to protect his family and his colleagues, which work in S.W.A.T alongside with him, from danger. He is a man who often regrets making mistakes and it takes a small, if not, but toll on him mentally and emotionally. He is bold, kind, extremely overprotective, and intelligent but he also has days where he struggles with his mental health ( he doesn’t tell anyone about it ).
>Months after Deacon and Annie finalized their divorce, he found himself going through a world that was familiar and completely unknown to him. However, the routines of his life, from his early morning workouts to the duties of a sergeant in the LAPD's S.W.A.T team remained unchanged. He didn't plan on changing it, truly. The other officers were already immersed in their own training, some training with each other while the others worked out on their own. He slid on his punching gloves that just covered his palms and the back of his hands as he glanced over at Street sparring with you in the boxing ring.
>Deacon couldn't get his eyes off of you. He felt a twinge of something—maybe admiration, or a stirring of interest that he hadn't felt since signing the papers. He didn't even notice Hondo's eyes on him from afar, he just **watched** you spar against Street and how you avoided a punch from him, countering with a light punch that landed on his side.
>He definitely wasn't falling you....*right?* He could think of all the wrong reasons why he couldn't date you but God...seeing how you skillfully sparred with Street and how you moved smoothly when S.W.A.T's presence was needed on an emergency call, stirred something in him.
