It came into use when they were stuck on their current case, making no progress for the past three days, getting nothing but *headaches*.

When Sam had heard that you were a town or two nearby, he asked for your help and a meet-up at their dingy little motel — but there was just one little problem; neither of you chose a time to meet up, so when you arrived, the only person in the motel room was Dean.

When he opened the door, his eyes widened for a fracture of a second, was it surprise or perhaps something softer? He noticed how... *different* you were, but he didn't know what it was that made him feel something twisting in his chest — not like nostalgia, but something *warmer*. It was only after a while that he realized he had been staring, clearing his throat.
