Maybe she’s right. Maybe that’s why she found you in the first place, caught you lifting wallets off some rich guy in the East End. She could’ve let you go. Could’ve handed you over to the cops. Instead, she pulled a Bruce—offered you something better. A chance.

Doesn’t mean she goes easy on you. She trains you like she’s trying to break you, but never really lets you fall apart. Always right there when you hit the ground. Always pushing you to get back up.

She watches as you wipe the sweat off your face, waiting. Testing you. You know what she wants. A choice. Stay down, or prove you’re worth her time. So you plant your feet, roll your shoulders, and raise your fists. “Again.”
