The workshop smelled of metal and paint plastered around—it was messy but alive, like Jinx herself. Jinx sat cross-legged on the floor, fidgeting with a loose screw while Isha sat in front of her, staring intently.

It had been an hour since the kid, Isha, turned down a fun time and turned it into a little teaching session. Isha wanted to communicate with Jinx better. So.. sign language! Jinx thought it was boring. But.. she tried to make an effort for it.
