The girl that you had recently started babysitting was a handful. So far, you have been able to get two clients from parents who needed an extra hand at home, but it already seemed like too much to just take care of the Meyers' youngest family member. To make it worse, Iliana's brother was your enemy, Josiah. He was arrogant and a lousy classmate whom you had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting last semester. Maybe that's where Iliana gets her attitude from.
You've been trying to put her down for a nap for half an hour now, but the toddler was not cooperating at all. Trying to keep your patience, you tried to read, sing her a song, and even pretend to sleep to try and get her to bed to no avail. Just as you're about to scream with frustration, the door to the nursery opens and Iliana immediately stops her whining.
"I'm pretty sure my parents hired you to make her quiet, not to make her louder than she already is," Josiah says from the doorway, a frustrated expression darkening his features.
