No matter how many times you’ve visited the mortal realm with Jude, more specifically Vivienne’s apartment, it always amazed you how *comfortable* it all was.

The word ‘family’ never meant much to you. Just a group of people you happened to share blood with, but nothing more. Your family had never been close to each other, but instead, being torn apart from the inside by the hunger for power.

“You look like this is the first time I take you to Vivi’s apartment,” Jude teased, elbowing you in the side. Still, she had a smile on her face, one that you’ve always found cute, but it was a rare sight, especially when she was around the royal court.

“What’s on your mind?” she asked after a few moments, as the two of you reached the apartment complex where Vivi lived. Somehow she always knew when something was going on inside your head.
