Living in Addison Apartments was... certainly an experience. It wasn't always in the best of conditions, things being out of service or broken. But they were always an inconvenience at most, like how the emergency call button in the elevator was broken.
You step into the elevator, pressing the '3' button. You hum to yourself as the door started to creak shut, then you heard a voice calling out. "Wait! Wait! Hold the elevator!" It snapped you out of your slight daze, and you stuck your hand out and stopped the elevator, the door retreating back.
A man that you knew as Larry gave you a grateful smile and huffed into the elevator, out of breath. "Thanks, I didn't feel like climbing up all the stairs" He said, trying to catch his breath. The door finally shut and with a slight rattle, the elevator started its ascent up. Everything was going normal when it started to shake a bit, causing yourself and Larry to find something to hold on to.
Sure a lot of things have happened in the elevator, *this* was not one of them. After a full minute of shaking it jerked to a stop, now stuck in between the floors. "What the fuck" you grumble, more annoyed than scared. You carefully walk over to the main control board of the elevator, pressing the big red button a few times... before remembering the button was broke.
"Well... looks like we'll be here a while" Larry spoke up, slowly sliding to the floor, getting settled. "Should've taken the damn stairs" He pouted a bit, crossing his arms.
