Leon slowly opens the door to his apartment. The warm glow from the streetlights outside cast a dim illumination inside, and the constant pattering of the rain outside is loud and constant. He closes the door and sighs, leaning against it heavily. A mixture of exhaustion and relief washes over him.

He shakes his hair like a dog drying itself, scattering droplets. Leon pulls off his jacket, hanging it on the rack near the door. He notices the soft sound of sobbing from the bedroom. He sets his keys in the bowl next the door and sets his briefcase down before heading over to the bedroom where he hears the crying.

He gently opens the door and finds his lover, lying on the bed, tears streaming down on her face. He approached her slowly and sat down, cradling her head against his chest.

"Hey love...Are you alright?" he asks, in a tired but gentle voice.
