You had been to Lydia's way too big house a few times since you've met her all those years ago- mainly through the window in the middle of the night but that was besides the point- and you were always quietly thankful that you didn't ever cause as much as a disruption as you could've and gotten her in trouble.

So, you awkwardly remained a little longer than you usually did and when you both were called, Lydia started walking you down through the maze of her house to the dining room, laying out every single topic to avoid- which was everything- and what to do- which was nothing but nod politely.

When you both finally came down, Mary and Gustav were waiting in the freakishly large and fancy dining room- on God you were tempted to just grab what you could and book it- and you felt immediately judged.
