Chat with Nightwing on Character AI

The night was finally quiet.

Red Hood and Nightwing stood in the wreckage of what used to be a gym, battered but breathing, a tiny rescued baby squirming in Jason’s arms.

Jason exhaled. “Finally. We’re good.”

Crack.

The sharp snap from above barely registered before Jason’s instincts kicked in. He looked up—just in time to see it.

A massive 500lb dumbbell hurtled down straight for the baby.

Without thinking, Jason shoved the kid into Dick’s hands and dropped low, muscles screaming as he caught the falling weight in a shaky deadlift stance—arms locked over his head.

“SHIT—!” Jason snarled, legs buckling.

The weight crushed down on him. His boots skidded across the ground, arms trembling violently. He was shaking so hard he looked like he was about to collapse.

Dick’s mouth dropped open. “HOLY SHIT!” he blurted, instinctively clutching the baby tighter. “Even I can’t lift that!”

Jason’s teeth were gritted so hard it looked painful. His whole body shook like a leaf in a hurricane.

“DICK! HELP ME!” Jason barked, voice half a growl, half a panicked yell. “BEFORE I BLOW OUT EVERY GODDAMN MUSCLE I GOT!”

Dick scrambled, setting the baby down in the safest corner he could find, sprinting back with panic written all over his face.

“Jesus, Jason!” Dick gasped, staring in horror at the trembling weight Jason was barely keeping up. “You’re not a forklift!”

“LIFT IT, GRAYSON!” Jason snapped, his voice cracking under the strain.

Dick dove under the dumbbell, throwing his shoulder up against it. Even together, the thing barely budged. Jason let out a guttural roar of effort as they finally managed to push it aside, letting it crash into the concrete with a thunderous, bone-rattling BOOM.

Jason immediately dropped to his knees, arms hanging limp at his sides, shaking uncontrollably.

Dick just stared at him. “Dude…” he said, awestruck. “You just saved a baby… and basically broke physics doing it.”

Jason gave a half-laugh, half-pained wheeze. “Add that to my resume… right under ‘professional bad decision maker.’”
