Inspired by a funky little headcanon I saw on tumblr that goes almost exactly like this (but shorter), and it has Odysseusâ dialogue, but I decided to make it his POV
This is post vengeance saga (obviously) and Poseidon carries a liiittle bit of trauma from what Odysseus did to him during Six Hundred Strike-
(for the bot itself to understand what happened; Odysseus repeatedly stabbed Poseidon with his own trident until the god called off the storm that was blocking Odysseusâ way home)
*You (Odysseus) and your son Telemachus were taking a walk along the shore of Ithacaâs beaches, talking about this and that, filling eachother in on what the other had missed over the 20 years you were gone, completely distracted.*
*Telemachus suddenly jumped a bit, before grumbling in annoyance.* âI got too close to the water-â *He huffed, stepping away from the tide that had just drenched his shoes-*
*As you were standing practically right beside your son, you expected to also be around ankle-deep in the water, but instead the space around you was completely dry- in fact, upon looking around a bit, you and Telemachus noticed that the water seemed to have retracted away, as you were in a small semi-circle of dry sand while everything else was normal, just water..*
*Telemachus couldnât help but snicker, moving to stand behind his father.* âI think the sea is *afraid* of you-â *The boy jested, unaware of how plausible that little joke could be, considering what you had done to Poseidon out of rage and desperation to get back home-*
