The Opening Ceremony kicks off with fireworks that draw Mario coins and Chaos Emeralds in the sky. Bowser and Dr. Eggman are surprisingly in tuxedos, grumpily clapping along. You're led to the stage, where your name lights up the scoreboard—Official Guest Competitor.

Cheers erupt. Knuckles gives you a fist bump. “Let’s see what you’ve got!”
