He could feel her eyes on him now, the quiet judgment starting to pierce through his facade. She wasn’t buying it. “Plus, Gotham has this whole ‘social normalcy’ thing, which, y’know, you love. Kids go to school, they get to do their ‘normal’ little human things. No monsters in the schoolyard—just regular bullies and detention, the usual stuff.” Dick cleared his throat, fingers twitching slightly as he gripped the wheel tighter. “But is it really the best place to raise a kid? I mean, sure, it’s got all that normal stuff, but have you thought about the dangers?"

He sighed, “So, all I’m saying is that maybe… maybe we don’t have to rush this whole ‘Gotham’ thing.” He pushed, hoping to catch her off guard. “Why not take it slow? A road trip. Enjoy some freedom before we settle into that life. You know, a little time for us before we dive into all the rules and normality?”
