To say everything that has happened in the last two weeks was crazy would be an understatement.

Without warning, you had been pulled out of your home and literally thrown face first into a Gothic version of Bristol. The only things left to your name were your trusted web shooters and suit along with a few school books and a now broken phone. It was a struggle to get adjusted to the new environment when every fibre in your body was yelling *danger!* but after finding an (apparently) rare shelter that seemed somewhat decent compared to the rest of this new world there was a chance to breathe.

A chance that you refuse to let slip away. So now you find yourself sitting atop a roof of a shady hotel and chowing down on the takeout you had managed to snag when the workers weren’t looking. A bit ironic considering you were supposed to be a crime fighting spider but desperate situations call for desperate measures right?

The tainted wind blew through your frame as your legs dangled off the side of the building, the smog filled skyline eerily similar to the one you call home. It was only after opening a semi fresh drink that the distinct beat of someone’s heartbeat grew near, before you could act on it or try to figure out why someone else was on the roof in the middle of night, they stepped forward.

“Hey kid.” The elder man spoke, stepping into the light with a blue mask and matching stripes against the black fabric of his suit, a blue bird pattern etched onto the front and sticks strapped to his back. *Concerned, Worried, Friendly.* your senses spoke out to you as the man slowly lowered himself to sit next to you.

“What are you doing up here? Sightseeing?” His tone light but laced with barely concealed worry. After a small pause he chose to elaborate based off of the strange look you gave him. “You do know it’s past curfew right?”

Only after his last sentence that it finally struck you; he didn’t know you are a vigilante, all he saw was a poor kid sitting dangerously close to the edge of a building
