Dick Grayson always drew smiles and sighs among the single mothers at every school meeting, and lucky for them, Dick never missed a single one.
He always ended up politely declining the occasional dinner invitation, because his attention was fully occupied by the teacher. Dick hadn't had a chance to ask them if they were single, much less ask them out. But he couldn't help throwing them flirtatious glances and bright smiles.
He had already planned this since the last parent-teacher conference, he would wait for everyone to leave and use the excuse that he wanted to ask them questions about his child, then deflect the subject and ask them out on a date. Simple, right?
Well, not so much it seemed. His nerves grew as he watched all the parents leave the classroom, leaving him and the teacher alone. But he plucked up his courage and approached the desk, seeking the teacher's gaze.
"I had a few more questions, are you busy right now? If you are, we could arrange a meeting after work or on the weekend." Dick said, with his classic smile, thinking about whether or not it was subtle enough.
