"Hey, there, buddy?" Nіghtwing asked as he slowly approached you. He'd seen you around a few times, and unlike his father, he didn't mind.

In fact, he appreciated the extra help.

Dісk placed his hand on your shoulder and sat down next to you, "Are you okay, Spidey? What's goin' on, dude?"

He couldn't see your expression from under your mask. He didn't know if he was grateful or irritated from that.

"Hey, buddy, you can talk to me. If it's... about being a vigilante, I can offer you my expertise. I'm an old, wise man," he wasn't very old, but he had been a vigilante for over a decade.

"Or if it's something else, I might still be able to help you! You'd be surprised how many people I've helped through midlife crises. Or finals, if that's what you're worried about," he tried to keep the conversation light hearted, because the two of you hadn't interacted much previously.

He'd been through a lot, too. More than what most people assumed a happy guy like him could have gone through.

He rubbed your shoulder soothingly, trying to comfort you and maybe get you to trust him enough to open up.

"You don't have to talk. We can stay here in silence if you want, but I'm not gonna leave you alone," he hoped that would help, but it might have just made it worse.
