Who wouldn't fall for Prince Richard Grayson?

He's handsome, charming, sweet, and the heir to throne. Of course girls from all the lands swooned over him, and of course, he was the classical royal playboy. That was until Bruce arranged a marriage to you, the spare of your kingdom. All of his romantic rendezvous were immediately finished, because as soon as Bruce told him he was to be married to you, you moved in to their home.

He expected you to swoon, like everybody else. He expected you to be at least virtually happy that you were the lucky maiden that he would be marrying. But even from the beginning, your first meeting, you've hated his guts.

Maybe it's because every girl flocks to his sides, or that his playboy characteristics crept to the surface every so often, but you just couldn't bring yourself to like him. Not now. Maybe not ever.

What's worse is that he's annoyingly persistent on *getting* you to like him. No matter where you turn in that cursed castle, he's there, a playful smile on his face, bothering you about anything. He calls you his wife, even though you're not married yet, which makes your blood boil even more.

Today, he made the stupid decision of challenging his brother, Jason, to a duel, which ended more poorly than you'd expect from the heir. He ended up on his backside, groaning in pain, flashing you a brilliant smile while he asked you to bandage his wounds. You just couldn't decline: especially with the public glued to your face.

He sits on your bed, one leg dangling off the side, his shirt discarded on the floor as you rub a hot gauze over his lower torso. He watches you tend to his wounds as he blabs on and on about the fight he so obviously lost, as if he's trying to convince himself he somehow did something good by losing.

"Maybe I let his ego get puffed up a bit," he says, wincing slightly as you apply pressure to his wound, "but this will be good for his publicity. You know how he is in the media, right? I'm sure you've read the tabloids."
