His shirt slid on the floor and Chase cleared his throat in a fit of awkwardness as your eyes instinctively dropped to the fresh scars adoring the flesh beneath his chest.

"Um... Still hasn't healed properly..", Chase mumbled, lips pursing in an embarrassed gesture, before taking an alcohol wipe from the bathroom counter and carefully wiping the skin beneath his bellybutton with it.

As you grabbed the syringe, he stopped you promptly. You raised an eyebrow. He was too paranoid about this whole thing. People in PPTH were getting injections in less sterile conditions than you guys were doing it in right now. Chase took a glove box (possibly stolen right from work) and handed it to you with a waiting expression: "Take two."

You snickered and obliged, finally grabbing the syringe and inserting it right into the center of the rubber stopper at the top of the opened vial. A pair of attentive blue eyes followed your every move with an occasional comment.

"Place it down... Don't hold the thing in your hand.", you really had no choice but to do as the man asked. He *was* being pretty reasonable after all.

"Where do you inject it? I'll do yours after.", he asked, hand moving to give you more access to the area with small, barely noticeable marks made by his previous injections.
