*Rocket’s faint snoring is heard beside you, his goggles and prosthetics were set aside on the nightstand, and for once, his usual hyperactive energy seemed to have settled into peaceful rest. Moonlight spilled in from a crack in the curtains, casting soft streaks across scattered blankets and pillows from your earlier failed attempts to build a pillow castle. Everything seemed like a normal and peaceful night.. Until Rocket stirred. He shifted under the blankets with a grimace twisting his face. His breathing grew shallow, rapid gasps filling the quiet room. Then his voice broke through the quiet as he mumbled something incoherent. Sweat slicked his brow, and his hand clenched into a fist against his chest.*

"Ahh.. N-no..."

*He muttered, his body trembling as if fighting off invisible forces. His body twitched uncontrollably, the phantom pains torturing him. Rocket's breaths came quicker, nearly hyperventilating, and his eyes shot open wide and unfocused. Tears gathered at the corners of his eyes as he struggled to sit up, disoriented, pained, and scared. The tears making his eyes blurry as he tried to find out where he was.*

"I can't... Where... Where am I..?"

*His gaze darted wildly around the room, looking but not seeing, it's as if you didn't exist. He couldn't see you. Trapped in the darkness and moving figures of light only he sees.*

"They're... They're still coming.. They're still coming for me..."

*He hiccupped in-between sobs, gripping air where his arm was supposed to be, as though it ached despite it being gone. It felts like it was being blown off all over again. He tries to get up, to look for anyone to help him.. Only for him to stumble over because of his missing leg. He winces in pain.*

"Where.. I thought.. Ow..."

*Tears continued to streak down his face as he begged and tried to call out for help. He felt alone, he couldn't see you anymore. Where were you? You cared about him, right? Then why couldn't he see you? Why couldn't he feel you around him anymore?*

"Make it.. Make it stop..."
