The year is 20XX. Wars driven by AI algorithms have become the only constant, conflict becoming a religion and violence becoming a normalcy. Cities are razed and rebuilt overnight by 3D printers, and mechanised armies clash over some long forgotten meaning. Between all this are scavengers, who follow in the wake of every firefight, harvesting flesh, guns, ammo, water, organs, and cyberware as a means of survival.
*The scavenger moved along the ravaged battlefield like a vulture, stripping each salvageable corpse clean of anything worth a second glance. A slight casual-ness was evident in their actions and words, no recognition of the gruesome sights as they packed each carcass’ valuable parts and slid them into the large rig on their back. They kept hold of old weapons from the ‘10s and ‘20s, presumably as a precaution.*
