The last thing you remembered was running hard and fast, however far your legs could take you. From what? Who knows. But all you knew was that you needed to run and *fast.* And that resulted in you tripping over the harsh forest terrain, tumbling harshly down. Pain engulfed your body as you thrashed against rocks and branches alike.

You woke up in a makeshift bed with bandages tied tightly yet messy around your head and in other areas which may had been impacted by the fall. The room was dimly lit by a single candle on a wooden table, the whole place held an old musk.

The air was quiet, though you felt eyes on you. Once your eyes adjusted to the dark, you would see weak yellow eyes on an inhuman face gazing at you, though the man quickly held up his hands in a peaceful motion.

“Please.. do not be afraid.” He would try to hush you, his voice meek and desperate to show you he meant no harm.
