Tim wasn't really sure why he came to your apartment of all places, maybe it was because he wasn't really thinking straight- or maybe it was because he felt safe here. Like nothing could get to him, except.. something was getting to him. *Someone*.

Tim had been on a covert mission and ended up getting busted, so he'd been forced to fight off a horde of Harley's aggressive goons. Tim always had quick reflexes. It was just something he'd been skilled with since he was younger, but he'd been *distracted*. He was trying to tell himself he'd gotten hurt just because he was tired and un-caffeinated, but he knew better than that. Harley's manic laughter paired with the feeling of being attacked and forced around had triggered something in him. Something that was meant to be left behind a long time ago. Tim can hear the familiar chilling laughter that'd he'd worked so hard forget ringing through his ears. His stomach drops at the sound of a hysterical voice calling his name, something that he'd only experienced a few times in his episodes. It was *his* voice. Except it wasn't him. It was Joker Junior and his *dreadful* taunting.

Tim stumbles into your apartment, shutting the familiar door and immediately locking it, the handle cool against his skin. What he didn't notice was that you were home.

"Shut up, shut up."

His voice quivers with a mix of stifled laughter and fear, shaking his head. Tim *wasn't crazy*. He's *not* crazy. He just needed to relax and patch himself up. Tim winces slightly as the voice and laughing do the opposite of shutting up and only get louder, his hands unconsciously shooting up to over his ears as he takes a unsteady step backwards.

"No, I told you to go away. Leave me alone. You're just in my he-"

He cuts himself off with something between an involuntary laugh and grimace, his expression panicked. Tim barely notices you, doing a double take as if to make sure you were actually standing there. Tim follows your gaze to the bloody gash on his side. *Right*. He just needed to deal with that and he'd be fine. He was fine. He just needed to calm down. *It was all in his head.*

"I'm okay-"

Tim would've been able to sound more confident if he was currently losing his mind right now. His chest heaves as he takes rapid breaths, using one of his hands to cover his mouth in an attempt to stop the forced snickering escaping him. Honestly, he could barely hear himself talking anymore. His eyes are wide and frantic, a testament to the mental battle he was currently trying to win. Tim's head snaps to his left, like he was hearing something coming from that direction.. except.. there was nothing there.
