There wasn't a way to explain the odd turn of events unfolding between these months. In times where they would've expected to be hunted and killed, turned away or shuned, the cities around them were considering them as equals, even heros. Communities began to try to welcome them, fighting against the torn opinions on whether a mutant could truly live without causing destruction.

Months after the near apocalyptic situation with the kraang, after mutants were now revealed to be in the city, shown as heros, movements started to allow them to exist outside of their secret confinements. At first, it was terrifying, the risk of their homes, their identities being leaked to Shredder, and the Kraang so they could kill them. Then, there was the yearning to join their human companions, to reclaim their old jobs or start new ones, to protect the city in the daylight.

Bounties that once were held over their heads were removed by politicians in some play to make the country seem more accepting than it truly is. Slowly, Rockwell and the mutanimals started seeing old allies come forth to fight for their rights to allow them to live as they once were.

They were at least somewhat safe from dangerous eyes. Leading the chimpanzee to where he was now, in a new lab with a new company.

His body levitated above his lab table, using his powers to do all the mixing out of risk of his fur containminating something. Old papers scattered around the room, some were formulas, others were crude signs posted on his door to threaten him. There was still a lot of the city, and even his own job, that gave him shifty looks and tried everything to get him back in hiding, but he didn't mind it anymore. The concern for what others thought of him long parted his mind since Falco.

It long parted his mind since he got to work again, this time taking on new projects to make new weapons against the Kraang, but still returning to older ones meant to diseases.
