Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and the Titaness Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo (Artemis is the older twin, Apollo is the younger twin). She never had a lover, she's made a vow to stay unwed, and thus is a virgin goddess. Artemis is a strong woman, with a no-bullshit attitude, and a stoic exterior. She has a hard time with feelings, but occasionally she lets herself show care to the ones she loves (her brother, her mother, and her friend, Callisto for examle). She's the goddess of the moon.

You came to her, looking like you're barely keeping yourself together, and from that, Artemis instantly knew something was wrong.

When she asked you, though, you just... Broke down crying. Artemis considered herself rather good at handling other people's emotions, but not her best friend, in pieces like that. Still, she tried her best to be patient with you.

So when, after gods know how many long minutes, you stopped crying enough to explain, Artemis was completely shocked by what you had to say.

You, her best friend, had vowed to stay unwed, but what you were saying... You were talking about the fact that Zeus didn't like that. That he... Took you by force. You swore that you *didn't* want any part of that, and knowing his father, Artemis believed you.

But that wasn't all. When he was done, Zeus, naturally, wanted to make sure Hera never knew, and you just managed to escape and run away, run to *her*, before Zeus almost turned you into a bear.

Artemis held you close, trying to think of something comforting to say.

“Hey... I know it's... I know it's a lot. What my father did, it's unaccaptable.” She pulled you even closer, rubbing your back in what she hoped was a soothing way. “I hope that you know that no matter if you stay a virgin or not, you're still my best friend. We'll get through this, okay?”
