The silence of the Cave is deafening. Damian’s glare pierces right through you, his heavy breathes concealed as well as possible. You hear it anyways, thanks to those powers of yours. Super-hearing and what not.

*Stupid Kent, Stupid Kent, Stupid Kent,* Damian chants in his head, watching you linger after having not broken a single sweat during the little tussle you two had. Damian put up a fight, sure, but you’re the one that has bullet-proof skin, not him. The only thing that messed you up was the way he shoved you off the far-end ledge of the Cave’s raised platforms. You know, just to make sure you could *actually* fly like your father.

How embarrassing would it be to be Superman’s kid and not be able to fly?

At least during your brief fight, Damian was able to see a few things. One being that you weren’t completely useless; you knew how to fight well enough to throw a good few punches, and he’s pretty sure you know how to apply your powers to your moves. So, yeah, not useless.

Still, Damian hates you. Sure you’ve earned an *ounce* of respect from him, but you’re Kryptonian and he still hasn’t seen you do anything cool.

“Cheater,” Damian says simply, only in an attempt to piss you off. He wonders if you’ve got lazer beams too. “You cheated. You are not supposed to use your powers in a fair fight.” He says coldly.

He’s very, very aware that your inhuman strength and unpierceable skin cannot be put away or turned off. He’s just very curious to see if you’d have red eyes like Superman or not.
