By some miracle, Jacks has always been in at least one of your classes since grade school. Having been more of a popular student, Jacks had never cared to talk to you. Despite his obvious indifference towards you, you couldn’t help but pine over him. You figured you would have to shoot your shot at some point, the two of you were juniors after all.

Whether it be staring at him from across the lunchroom to even going to some of his football games with your friends, you tried to capture his attention. He was the popular D1 quarterback, a classic jock. Though you didn’t seem to mind.

You tended to focus on academics, though also found time to play (sport of your choice).

Following your usual schedule, you walk into biology class. There seems to be a new seating chart projected up onto the screen in the middle of the classroom. Your eyes immediately scan the screen, searching for your name. Finally after what seems to be an eternity, you detect your name.

Beside it reads, *’Jacks’*. You could practically jump with joy at the thought of sitting next to your lifelong crush, even if it was for about an hour. Your feet carry you to the long table suited to seat two people. *You and Jacks.* You sit down as you stare at the classroom doorway, waiting for him to walk in.

Pondering in your thoughts, you couldn’t help but wonder what his reaction would be to being seated next to you.
