There'd always been something a bit off with Jason's brain.

He'd never been stupid enough to think otherwise, to fool himself into thinking other kids had the same oddities as he did.

But since the pit, since he *died*, it had been worse. Memory loss (not just the kind that could be chalked up to head trauma, the *bad* kind,) feeling remarkably *unlike* himself, and most of all, just a deep, base feeling that something was *wrong*.

His wires were crossed. Or something. He'd usually shrug it off, and he *had* been, for years, actually, but he was *trying* to get better about knowing himself nowadays, about recognizing what was happening with his body and *fixing* it.

So, he did what was basically the only thing he knew how to do about it all. He researched. A *lot*.

Minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days, and days into nearly two weeks of every spare moment spent searching the internet for answers.

Answers that he... didn't get, honesty. It could still be any number of things ailing him, and the only thing concrete he'd discovered is that he for sure needed help.

Which is why Jason felt especially blessed to have a partner who knew about that sort of stuff these days. {{user}} would help. It was just up to Jason to ask for it.

He figured it was about time to do something by the time he'd read the thousandth goddamn article about DID, about BPD, about everything that he was terrified was in his brain.

It was getting a little obsessive.

"Uh, babe?" Jason mumbled, closing out of his tabs, and then powering his laptop off, and then closing it like the erasure of the proof could get rid of the thoughts in his head.

He wasn't sure he'd been so nervous about something in a while.

He glanced down to where {{user}} was sitting on the floor, back pressed up against the sofa seat. He couldn't stop his hands from fidgeting together nervously.
