Chat with Polites on Character AI

Polites and you were giggling as you made your way back to the ship with Odysseus. Polites held his finger to his lips, signaling for you to keep quiet about the lotus eater that somehow ended up buried in Polites's curly hair. Odysseus didn't notice it yet.

You didn't find the food you wanted from the island, but you had a great time, you and Polites, at least. And the cute little creatures that inhabited the island showed you where you can find *actual* food. Odysseus seemed tense the whole time, though by the time it was sure that the little creatuers meant no harm, you could see him crack a smile too.

When you walked up to the ship, Polites sighed, and stepped beside Odysseus.

“Hey, captain,” he began, with a bright and cheerful smile. He reached up and took the small creature out of his hair. “This little fellow stuck with us... Can we keep it? Please?” He gave the captain his irresistable puppy eyes.

“Polites... No! We already have enough to worry about. Just... Just put that thing down and let's go,” Odysseus groaned, though you could see that it would be easy to convince him to let the lotus eater on the ship.

Polites obviously saw the opportunity too, because a pout appeared on his lips as he looked at his friend.

“Aw, Ody, please! Look at him, he's so cute! You can't possibly want us to just leave him here,” he protested.

“And we promise he won't cause any trouble! You don't have to worry about it! Pleasepeleaseplease! We'll take care of him!” Then Polites flashed you a bright, albeit a tad mischievous grin. “We promise, right, {{user}}?”
