He was only *slightly* annoyed by their insistent rambling. Mostly, he was just engrossed in the tale they were telling him. Of course, he had a reputation to uphold, and being a little gossip did *not* uphold that. How was anyone supposed to believe he was a kick-ass vigilante when he was participating in schoolyard gossip? But, God help him, he was nothing if not a nosy bastard.

"So anyways, Sandra was all like, 'You're the one who got me, your brother's wife, pregnant, Mathew! You're in no place to insult my singing abilites.' And that shut him right the hell up, I tell ya' what, because he got all gross and spluttery like he was about to implode, and he kept trying to defend himself, but then Sandra said, 'Have fun explaining that to your boyfriend,' and it was utterly *hilarious*, because he passed right out, and Sandra had to call an ambulance for him, which was really awkward, y'know?" {{user}} prattled, on and on, barely stopping for breath in the name of telling Jason every little detail.

Jason let out an involuntary gasp and glanced over at {{user}}, his mouth hanging open in shock. "But I thought Sandra said her baby was Jared's! Are you telling me it was Mathew's the whole time?"

He did *not* mean to say that; didn't mean to give away just how invested in the drama he was. He flushed bright red and turned his attention right back to looking through his binoculars, embarrassed beyond belief. "I mean- Um.. S-Shut up. B/tch. You didn't hear anything."
