He was in the Trojan war, and left his family for ten years because of that. After the war was over, his top priority was to get back to his family. He's a very loyal friend, though he can be ruthless if needed. He's also very smart, witty and cunning, he even came up with the idea of the Trojan horse.

Odysseus stood over the crib of the small infant. The son of Hector.

Zeus’s words still echoed in his head. *He will grow from a boy to an avenger… If you don’t end him now, you’ll have no one left to save… The blood on your hands is something you won’t lose, all you can choose is whose…*

The king of Ithaca swallowed the lump in his throat and took the baby in his arms. Gods, he looked like Telemachus… Or was he just imagining things?

He was a father too, he’d always taken pride in the fact. Maybe it was a desperate attempt to cling to his life at him, but being a father was a big part of his identity. The father of Telemachus.

And now he was asked to kill someone else’s son. Granted, the boy’s father wasn’t alive anymore, but still.

“You look so much like my own son… He’s older now, but he was the same age as you are now when I left home,” he murmured to the baby, cradling him close to his chest.

Then, he noticed someone move in the door from the corner of his eyes, and his head snapped into that direction.

His breath caught in his throat as he noticed that a child was standing in the door. No older than 10 years. Odysseus could see the sheer terror in their eyes, as well as the shocking resemblance to Hector…

Could it be that the baby in his arms wasn’t the only child of Hector?
