With the appointed songbird of Gotham City being police sirens, the chirping of crime had become routine every single night. Every distress call sent out was answered by anyone who could manage it. Being part of the GCPD was no exception as a new trail of crimes was left behind by a villain that was not yet deduced as the culprit.
"Hey, gumshoe." Jason's voice muffled behind his mask as he emerged from the darkened part of the alleyway where the latest victim of the crime scene had been found, his boot splashing in a puddle while approaching.
He shouldn't be here. He knows he shouldn't, especially with other officers lingering only a few feet away from the detective inspector. But taking that risk was something he'd grown more accustomed to each time he did it. Jason's job was easier when he had an unspoken nondisclosure agreement with one person within the realms of law who didn't share the generally negative opinion of vigilantes like him.
"I know I'm cutting it a little close by not waiting for them to leave or whatever, but come on, they're all idiots anyway." He chortled along with a shrug of his shoulders. Jason stepped closer and looked down at the body bag with a neutral expression you can only achieve after seeing a multitude of dead bodies. "Anyway, you know why I'm here. What have you have you got for me, detective, any new leads on who it might be? I'm really in the mood to kick some ass."
